APPLE JUICE, A ‘MASTER’ FLAVOURING WITH AN OLYMPIC TOUCH
Via his sire Tresor d’Opaline, Apple Juice belongs to a famous dynasty of excellent showjumpers. The legendary ‘stallion dam’ Opaline des Pins is the foundation dam. She produced outstanding showjumpers, such as the Olympic champion Jus De Pomme, Shogoun II, Quintus, Richebourg and ‘last but not least’ Tresor d’Opaline. In partnership with Jean-Claude Van Geenberghe, Tresor d’Opaline performed at the highest level, for instance at the San Patrignano European championship, the Aachen World Equestrian Games and World Cup classes. Under the saddle of Samantha Lam, Tresor d’Opaline even participated at the Beijing Olympic Games.
Apple Juice also inherited top showjumping blood via his dam line. Apple Juice’s grandmother, Good Bye Z, produced for instance the stallion Adieu Z. In partnership with Stefan Corten, Adieu Z claimed several victories in showjumping classes. Fier de Lui also plays an important role in Apple Juice’s dam line. He was a very modern son of the thoroughbred Rantzau and proved to be very valuable in breeding outstanding showjumpers.
Apple Juice made an international sports career. In December 2017, Dirk Demeersman and Apple Juice won the Mechelen Masters. Apple Juice was also successful in partnership with Rob de Bruijne. They performed at five-star level and won several showjumping classes, amongst them the Mechelen 2013 Puissance and the Mechelen 2010 Six Bar. Thanks to performances of his descendants, Apple Juice became a BWP ambassador. One of these descendants is the Olympic horse Zipper.
